...Village Arts has become my kids' second home. Not only do the instructors teach so much about the arts, but most importantly their culture of generosity and inclusion has helped build my kids' confidence and taught them to truly root for every single member of the VA community...

We’ve made things even easier for families by making our classes a built-in part of Homework Club. It is now a fully all-inclusive program, so when your child is enrolled in Homework Club, they get full access to our classes at Village Arts!

Kids start with Homework with Ms. Gina and Ms.Sabrina, then continue with our “PLUS” classes that are taught by teaching artists, Al, Jason, Paula and Samantha.

Teaming up with our after-school musical theatre program, The Wizard of Oz, Jr , two of our Homework PLUS classes are taking an imaginative journey down the yellow brick road! This fall, let your imagination take flight in Imagine Oz, Village Arts’ newest creative adventure. Inspired by the magical worlds of The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked, students will use these beloved stories as a springboard for their own original ideas, creations, and adventures. As they journey through the wonderful world of Oz, they’ll build, create, move, and imagine while bringing their own unique visions to life. Students enrolled in HWC on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays can participate in Imagine Oz! While each class explores the same imaginative world of Oz, every offering brings its own unique creative adventure. Together, they provide even more opportunities to create, collaborate, and discover.

Creative Movement: a high-energy creative adventure inspired by the movement, music, and characters of Oz. Through games, rhythm, freestyle movement, beginner breakdance-inspired techniques, and imaginative storytelling, students will discover new ways to express themselves while bringing the magic of Oz to life. Each class builds confidence, coordination, creativity, and teamwork through joyful movement and play.

FaceOff Fridays with Ms. Gina and Ms. Sabrina: Ready to roll the dice and claim victory? Faceoff Friday is an action-packed day where students dive into strategy, friendly competition, and classic tabletop favorites like Scrabble, Old Maid, Uno, Battleship, and more. Students will play a age-appropriate, rotating lineup of tactical, card, and party games, compete in weekly tournaments, and tackle exciting cooperative challenges while building critical thinking, sportsmanship, and teamwork skills. Open to all skill levels, every Friday right after school!
Students in all our plus classes will have the opportunity to showcase their original creations in Village Arts’ annual Student Art Show, celebrating their artistic journey through the wonderful world of Oz. No previous experience is necessary—just bring your imagination and a sense of adventure!
