For our returning fifth and eighth grade students advancing to middle or high school we are creating the following procedure to offer them the best opportunity to experience a final program with Village Arts.

• Eligible students must have completed a Village Arts Musical Theatre program and are currently enrolled in either 5th Grade or 8th Grade.
• Students will receive an invitation to pre-register for the upcoming Winter-Spring session. This is a designated period before general registration opens to the public. Note: This early registration does not guarantee a specific spot or placement (e.g., in a cast or specific role); It only ensures the student has an earlier opportunity to register for a spot in the winter-spring program itself before capacity limits are reached when general registration opens.
• Timeline & Notification: This opportunity is offered annually. Eligible families will be notified directly via email with the specific pre-registration link and timeline details.
• Summer Program: Early registration is only for 8th grade students.

The decision to create this “graduation” policy that grants a brief early registration for 5th and 8th graders was made to ensure these students—who are leaving our program this year—have a “last chance” (opportunity) to participate in one last show before moving on to new schools with their own theatre programs. This early access is meant to mark their ‘milestone transition’ and is not a permanent policy for all returning students. We believe it’s important to recognize their years of participation in this meaningful way.
