Ms. Klace’s Art Extravaganza Class 1: Clay & more

Grades:  1st-2nd

  • THURSDAYS: March 23 – May 18 (No class on school holidays)
  • TIME: 3:00 – 4:00PM

Village Arts and Colfax Charter’s art teacher, Mrs. Klace, bring her warm spirit and humor to create an art class for all students. The emphasis of this class will be on creating works in both clay and other materials. Each class Ms. Klace provides the students with a prompt that will inspire students to explore the various mediums she introduces. The class will alternate with working in clay and other materials.

The Homework Club Add-On option schedule is for 2 hours of homework club before or after your Village Arts Class and is for 10 sessions. If you wish to enroll in other days of HWC, please sign up for those additional days separately.

Shelley Klace

This year marks Shelley’s 11th year of teaching art at Colfax Charter Elementary School. She is also has been teaching art at St. Francis DeSales for over eight years. She has degrees in art education from The Ohio State University and outside of the classroom she creates her own artwork and also works in the entertainment industry painting sets. Mrs. Klace shares Village Arts passion to offer kids a place to learn more about the elements and principles of art while having lots of FUN! Whether it’s building, painting, working with clay, or drawing, art experiences help children gain critical thinking skills, confidence, expanded creativity.
