Ms Klace’s Art Extravaganza!

Class Overview

Come discover all the different ways you can create 2D and 3D art with Village Arts and Colfax Charter’s art teacher, Ms. Klace! Her warm spirit and humor will make this class a fun experience for all students. The class will focus on creating works in both clay and other materials, with a new prompt each week to inspire creativity. Students will get the opportunity to explore various mediums and will alternate between working with clay and other art materials.

About the Teaching Artist: 

Shelley Klace has been teaching art at Colfax Charter Elementary School for 15 years and at St. Francis DeSales for over eight years. She holds degrees in art education from The Ohio State University. Outside the classroom, she is an artist and also works in the entertainment industry painting sets. Mrs. Klace is passionate about helping kids learn the elements and principles of art while having fun. She believes art experiences, whether building, painting, or drawing, help children gain critical thinking skills, confidence, and expanded creativity.
