Disney’s instant classic, The Lion King, has earned the distinction of one of Broadway’s longest running shows. This Fall Village Arts offers students the chance to perform this wonderful epic adventure of the curious cub, Simba as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as the future king of Prideland. Along the way, the young lion encounters a colorful cast of characters including spunky lioness Nala, charismatic meerkat Timon, and loveable warthog Pumbaa. This coming of age tale features the music and lyrics of musical legends Elton John and Tim Rice.
