Dear Village Arts Friends, ⠀ Village Arts receiv Dear Village Arts Friends, ⠀
Village Arts received the horrible news the other day of the sudden passing of our long-time student and friend, Jack Bailey. In addition to his amazing talent, year after year Jack was a shinning presence in our program. He immediately made everyone feel welcomed and was a friend to all his fellow students young and old. Jack continued with his love of theatre and singing in high school, where his same welcoming nature and humor made his peers and teachers immediately cherish his presence and friendship. Jack was planning to continue his pursuit of theatre and music in college and was waiting on the news from schools about his next steps. He also was about to appear as Quasimodo in Disney’s The Hunch Back of Notre Dame for his high school. Many wonderful discoveries and opportunities awaited him, and he leaves behind a spirit of love and friendship that will continue to have an impact on everyone that shared the stage with him or just was lucky enough to be his friend.⠀
⠀
To honor his spirit Village Arts and the Bailey family are creating a scholarship to honor Jack. The scholarship will be awarded to a student or students that are unable to afford the tuition for Village Arts Summer Theatre Program. The Bailey family will be involved in the selection process and it is Village Arts hope to have the scholarship fully funded in time for their Summer 2021 program and many summers afterwards.⠀
⠀
To help support this scholarship we need to reach out to our Village Arts friends to honor Jack Bailey and share his love of theatre by offering an opportunity to a child so they too may discover the fun, love and creativity that comes with working together over the course of a summer. Village Arts will contribute to this fund as well, yet we cannot do this alone and kindly ask for any support that you may be able to offer.https://buff.ly/2PO8IF8
